Dundee Marketing Agency Celebrates 10 Years in Business

A Dundee marketing agency is unveiling its own new identity following a decade in business.

Jigsaw Media, launched by Craig Simpson in 2013, provides strategic marketing support, branding and web development tailored to clients’ commercial objectives.

Having grown from one to ten employees, the agency, based at the city’s Dock Street, supports clients nationwide with various online and offline marketing services. While demand continues to grow for digital marketing from SEO and e-commerce to social media and content marketing, Jigsaw Media also provides traditional, offline marketing services such as media buying, marketing literature and design.

Craig, who established Jigsaw Media following a 15-year career in marketing and media with Sky and Bauer Media, said, “At a time when so many marketing agencies focus solely on digital, we take a holistic approach, harnessing the power of traditional and digital marketing. By diversifying their marketing efforts, we help clients really understand their audience, generating tangible gain in line with commercial objectives. As we mark our 10th year in business, now is the time to examine our narrative to reflect that, alongside our combined skillset as a team.”

Jigsaw Media’s current clients range from infrastructure giant, Amey, to Sulzer, a multi-billion pound blue-chip based in Switzerland, as well as several businesses in the central belt and the Midlands.

While supporting clients the length and breadth of the UK, Craig and his team are particularly passionate about their ‘home-grown clients’.  They are currently supporting a number of businesses across Dundee and Angus, including CAM Ventures and their many brands from The Mantuary and Angus Grill and Larder to Angels Dare Cocktails, as well as ATL Turbine Services and Angus Council.

Craig continued, “We’re a Dundee business first and foremost so supporting growth in local businesses is incredibly important to both myself and our team;  it’s part of our culture.  However, with online meetings becoming commonplace, there are no geographical barriers.  On saying that, after the Covid-19 lockdowns, our staff were eager to return to the office and see clients in person again. And although lockdown gave us all a chance to pause and reflect, we have pivoted just as our clients have and are sensitive to their shifting priorities.”

With dedicated Web / Design and Marketing teams, Craig also works hard to attract and retain his workforce, adding, “Our skillset as a team makes us stand out, with content people, a talented web and design team and experts in search and e-commerce. And, although we have made a huge investment in the team and attracted some of the top players in Scotland, we have also worked hard to nourish and motivate those who supported us from the early days, promoting from within where we can. By caring for, supporting and investing in our team, we put them in the best position to impact the clients we support.”

Meanwhile, with the digital space an exceptionally fast-moving sector, Jigsaw Media also invests in staff training to ensure that the team is always ahead of the game – “Marketing is a dynamic and ever-changing landscape influenced by many factors from consumer behaviour and trends to the economy. From new social platforms to how content is presented, it’s crucial that we stay ahead of the curve to ensure that we provide the best possible service and value to our clients.

“As we approach our next decade, we look forward to continuing to develop our people and our business, ensuring that the service we deliver remains of the highest quality. For myself, as a proud Dundonian, Jigsaw Media is built on developing long-standing relationships and trust. It’s part of our DNA. We love seeing the city and its surroundings flourish, and it’s a privilege to be part of that success.”
